　　Two differences between this Austrian version and the generally available American version are immediately obvious: they differ both in their length and in the language of the intertitles. The American version is only 1,883 metres long - at 18 frames per second a difference of some 7 minutes to the Austrian version with 2,045 metres. Whereas we originally presumed only a negligible difference, resulting from the varying length of the intertitles, a direct comparison has nevertheless shown that the Austrian version differs from the American version both in the montage and in the duration of individual scenes. Yet how could it happen that the later regional distribution of a canonical US silent film was longer than the "original version"?
　　The prevalent American version of Blind Husbands does not correspond to the version shown at the premiere of 1919. This little-known fact was already published by Richard Koszarski in 1983. The film was re-released by Universal Pictures in 1924, in a version that was 1,365 feet (416 metres) shorter. At 18 frames per second, this amounts to a time difference of 20 minutes! "Titles were altered, snippets of action removed and at least one major scene taken out entirely, where von Steuben and Margaret visit a small local chapel." (Koszarski)
　　From the present state of research we can assume that all the known American copies of the film derive from this shortened re-release version, a copy of which Universal donated to the Museum of Modern Art in 1941. According to Koszarski the original negative of the film was destroyed sometime between 1956 and 1961 and has therefore been irretrievably lost. This information casts an interesting light on the Austrian version, which can be dated to the period between the summer of 1921 and the winter of 1922. Furthermore, the copy is some 200 metres longer than the US version of 1924. If one follows the details given by Richard Koszarski and Arthur Lennig, this means that, as far as both its date and its length are concerned, the Austrian version lies almost exactly in the middle between the (lost) version shown at the premiere and the re-released one.A large part of the additional length of the film can be traced to cuts that were made to the 1924 version in almost every shot. Koszarski describes how the beginning and the end of scenes were trimmed, in order to "speed up" the film. However, more exciting was the discovery that the Austrian version contains shots that are missing in the American one - shots/countershots, intertitles - and furthermore shows differences in its montage (i.e. the placing of the individual shots within a sequence). All this indicates that Die Rache der Berge constitutes the oldest and most completely preserved material of the film.

　　情人节临近，华伟相约朋友圈中的富二代俊男靓女们到国外开夜蒲派对，并计划在这特别的节日向女友娜娜求婚，制造惊喜。
　　热辣的夜蒲派对以放纵奢靡的方式进行。一行七人当中，华伟挚友健明（王宗尧 饰）与娜娜（李昕岳 饰）暗生暧昧情愫。此外还有性感开朗的海滴（石咏莉 饰）、知性理智的美瑾（ 雨侨 饰）、从新加坡赶来的家杰（魏玉海 饰）、患有焦虑症的柏芝（裴殷 饰）与她的健壮勇猛男友仁宝（谷尚蔚 饰）。七人虽然是好友，但情感与利益关系也复杂的纠葛在一起……

　　故事发生在二十世纪初的北爱尔兰贝尔法斯特，刚刚出狱没多久的约翰尼（詹姆斯·梅森 James Mason 饰）参与了一次抢劫行动，并且为了掩护队友而遭到了警察的枪击，约翰尼失手打死了警察，惹上了重罪，成为了全城通缉的对象，身负重伤的约翰尼体力不支，昏了过去。
　　穷的叮当响的无赖汉谢尔（F.J.麦考密 F.J. McCormick 饰）发现了约翰尼的踪迹，在他的身上看到了发财的法子，他将情报通告给神父汤姆（W.G. Fay 饰），却被凯瑟琳（凯思琳·赖安 Kathleen Ryan 饰）发现。凯瑟琳赶在谢尔之前找到了躲在疯画家鲁奇（罗伯特·牛顿 Robert Newton 饰）家中的约翰尼，就这样，两个人踏上了逃亡的旅途。

　　在上海的一座教堂里，林公子与何小姐正在举行婚礼。这时，身着大红色中国传统嫁衣的胡翠翠气势汹汹的冲了进来，她大声对林公子表达爱意，谁知林公子说出的话却让胡翠翠心碎欲绝，林公子说他根本不喜欢翠翠，让她不要再自作多情。翠翠愣住了，媒人金玉颜趁机叫了几个人，把翠翠赶出了教堂……

　　江湖戏班的皇甫义（孙树林 饰）有一天在街上看到自卖自身的王莲（刘晶 饰），出钱将其买下，赵大爷（高保成 饰）不忍失去王莲，也随王莲进戏班当马夫。十年过去了，王莲出落成色艺双绝的马戏班台柱子，艺名红牡丹（姜黎黎 饰）。十年来，她和同班师兄妹为皇甫义挣尽了血汗钱。他们在香港演出时，引起有志之士的注意，建议他们为抗战义演募捐，皇甫义不同意。财阀张德仁（张逸生 饰）看上红牡丹，红牡丹不从，并将兽性大发的张德仁痛打一顿。张德仁在一次演出中杀害了九月菊（赵凤霞 饰），红牡丹策马踢翻了张德仁的看台。最后，戏班在好心人的帮助下逃回内地。人财两空的皇甫义，为了将摇钱树红牡丹永远控制在手，竟想霸占红牡丹为妾，皇甫义做梦都没想到，他想霸占的红牡丹竟是他多年前抛下的亲生女儿......

　　28岁的威廉（格辛·安东尼饰）因祖父的一封来自丹麦的信，决定与好友杰瑞米（塞巴斯蒂安·阿梅斯托饰）及其他的女友（奥利维亚·格兰特饰）前往哥本哈根探寻自我。在根本哈根，威廉认识了当地女孩埃菲（Frederikke Dahl Hansen饰）并逐渐爱上了她。但是某日，威廉发现埃菲竟然只有14岁，他意识到要认真对待这份感情……

　　Released in France as La Kermesse Heroique, Carnival in Flanders is set during the long-ago war between the Dutch and Spanish. A tiny village in Flanders is invaded by Spanish troops. The townsfolk have heard of Spanish cruelties in other towns, and decide to deflect the vanquishers by playing dead. This isn't terribly effective (you have to take a breath once in a while), so the wife of the burgomaster tries to soften up the invaders with a lavish carnival. So successful is this venture that the Spaniards allow the village to escape being decimated, or even taxed. An award-winner many times over, Carnival in Flanders was banned in Germany; evidently, Goebbels caught on that director Jacques Feyder and scenarists Bernard Zimmer and Charles Spaak were drawing deliberate parallels between the Spanish and the then-burgeoning Nazis.

　　北平中学生袁文光喜欢京剧，常因看戏而不得不翻墙回校，终被校方开除。文光到一剧班学艺，又因反抗班里的封建行规被赶走。老伶工黄月楼将其收留，文光从此改名袁少楼。因为人好打不平，人送少楼外号“二百五”。少楼随班赴关外演出，与班里当家花旦柳艳云感情颇深。“九一八”事变后，东北某警察局长郑荣欲强娶艳云为妾。少楼恨其媚敌卖国，借演出之机对其进行讥讽。郑荣大怒，命宪警将少楼抓去。艳云向郑荣求情，被其乘机侮辱……

　　Tired of country life, Anna leaves military school and her home to live in exciting Prague where she finds herself confused by the behavior of her hip new friends. Irma is despondent over her latest break-up. Speedy is always high, but his brother Filip seems normal enough and Anna takes a shine to him. She does not realize that Filip is gay and involved with his roommate Kytka, who earns a living hustling middle-aged men. The circle of friends remains close knit until the night in which Filip decides to sleep with Anna. Kytka becomes insanely jealous and this causes tragedy before the story reaches its fantastical, upbeat conclusion. This romantic comedy was among the Czech Republic's biggest hits of 1996.
